One way of providing fiber to the office is through a Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network( GEPON). GEPON is a point-to-multipoint fiber access technology. Its main characteristic is the use of passive splitters in the fiber distribution network, enabling one single feeding fiber from the provider's central office to serve multiple offices site.
 
TP1704F HGU (Home gateway Unit), --provides an uplink to the central office through its GEPON port to interface fiber optic network. In downstream, TP1704F FTTH ONT provide one gigabit Ethernet and 3 port 10/100M Base-T Ethernet with advanced L2 switching, QoS and Security Features functionality and are configured and managed remotely via the Optical Line terminals (OLT).
 

TP1704F HGU (Home gateway Unit), supporting cost-effective GEPON Fiber To The Home (FTTH) solution designed for bridges the high distances of large public places such as airports, railway station etc, with horizontal fiber optic wiring, ensuring flexibility in terms of cabling length limitations and delivered bandwidth, thus reducing overall cost for installation, operation, network expansion and future maintenance.
 

TP1704F HGU (Home gateway Unit), meets the considerable challenge of supplying the requirement of check-in desks, hotels, and businesses with high-performance data transmission. 1GE and 3FE port can be connected to the required IP devices which covers a PC LAN, VoIP phones, Wifi access points and Printer, IP surveillance cameras all over a terminal several kilometers long. It can be easily achieved by installing TP1704F FTTH ONT fiber optic based systems, such as Fiber To The Home to save valuable space for wiring closets, increase non-aeronautical revenues and lower overall IT cost.
